It begins for us in 1858 when Peter Young and family settled in Alexander Valley. A line of pioneers, leaving Europe for California, began a legacy.
The pioneering spirit has continued from Peter, to son Silas, grandson Robert, his children, onto Steve.
Forging a life in the rugged countryside of California, farming and ranching, to planting the first Cab Sauv in California, to growing a thriving wine business; the Young Family is one of resilience, fortitude and vision.
But Steve isn’t a farmer, right? No, he is not but he is a pioneer of a different kind. A pioneer with resilience, fortitude and vision.
Steve and family moved to the Young ranch in 2002. He had a vision to build, grow, and tend an internet services company. And that is what he did with his Uncle Fred, wife Tammi, and his children.
Today AVISP is a testament to the tenacity of the pioneering gene found in Steve’s and Tammi’s families.
AVISP is a reflection of Steve and his vision, providing long-needed internet connectivity to our community.
Our team also reflects the family pioneering spirit with son Joe, father J.R., wife Tammi, and long-time friend Mickey.
